Biography
Dr. Nadhir Lebaal received his PhD in Mechanics and Energy from the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL), France. He was an Associate Professor in computational mechanics in High School of Engineering Design (GIP-InSIC) in Saint Dié des Vosges (France) for 2 years. Also he was an Associate Professor of the Ecole des Mines of Albi-Carmaux for one year. He joined the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard (France) in 2009 and he currently conducts research in ICB-COMM laboratory. His research interests include numerical modelling, optimization and material processing and design including Additive manufacturing.
Nadhir Lebaal has published 60 peer-reviewed papers and conference papers in the following fields: computational mechanics, finite element analysis (FEA), optimization, material processing. His major research interest is the polymer processing design, development of mathematical optimization applied to extrusion design, sheet metal forming, and recently in biomechanics and additive manufacturing design.
Dr. Lebaal have supervised four PhD Student who developed new design and methodology concepts for material processing design. He currently supervises three PhD students who develop new SPH formulation for heigt dynamic under extrem conditions and numerical optimization for material processing.
